Noah Silverman and Yuki Kinoshita, two college students from Vancouver, Canada, have developed the world’s first human-sized dog bed and call it the Plufl.

The Plufl is a dog bed designed for people. Although it’s large enough that we imagine your dog could sleep there too.

Silverman and Kinoshita said that their friend Lady, a Great Dane who often hangs out at their favorite coffee shop, inspired them to create the beds.

Great Dane

The dog is very large; in fact, its owners had to buy a custom-made bed for the 200-pound animal.

This inspired the entrepreneurs to pursue their idea. If you can do it for a Great Dane why not make a human-sized replica of a dog bed?

“The Plufl is a premium napping bed engineered to provide the optimal napping experience,” it says on Plufl’s Indie GoGo site.

According to the manufacturer, the Plufl is “designed to alleviate stress and anxiety by providing a space where you can rest, recharge, and rejuvenate.”

“It is created to maximize comfort and foster a sense of security, delivering relief for those who have ADHD, stress, and anxiety-related issues. A nap in the Plufl will boost your mood and have you feeling refreshed.”

And finally, a company called Plufl has created the first human-sized dog bed and it costs $400,” Fallon said. “Honestly, I can’t tell what’s more annoying, the bed, the price, or that I just had to say the word ‘Plufl.'”

This human-sized dog bed is ultra comfortable, with a soft and thick pillow border. It also comes with a cozy faux fur cover, and it’s big enough for you to tuck your hands and feet in.

The oval shape of the bed cradles you into a natural fetal position – perfect for snuggling up with your furry friend.

“As avid nappers, we have found it difficult to locate readily accessible and suitable napping options. With Plufl we seek to elevate the nap experience by providing an irresistibly cozy and comfortable product for every kind of napper,” The Plufl’s creators, Noah Silverman and Yuki Kinoshita had this to say about their cuddly invention.

Silverman and Kinoshita added that the human-dog bed “maximizes comfort and fosters a sense of security, delivering relief for those who have ADHD, stress, and anxiety-related issues.”

The beds are also popular on TikTok, where the company has over 80,000 followers.

The price of the beds is $399 per single or $699 per pair. If you buy yours now, it will arrive in January 2023, right after the holidays.

The company currently just ships to the United States and Canada.

So, what are you waiting for? You can pre-order the concept on Plufl’s official website.
